I'm sorry it has taken me a month to post an update, but those of you who have had singletons know how hard it is to get a moment to yourself...and it's twice as hard for me! It seems there is always one awake, and now that I am back at work, when I come home, all I want to do is hold my girls.
I have been back at work for a week now, and it is not as bad as I thought it would be. My mom stayed with us last week, which definitely smoothed the transition. I would not have made it through last week without her. She helped so much that I actually feel caught up on things. I think the girls wore her out a few days last week, but I know she is going to miss them.
Work is going well. My students missed me, so they are behaving like perfect little angels for now. (We'll see how long that lasts!) I am just counting down the weeks until summer when I can spend all my time with my girls. (15 to go!) I miss the girls, but they are in good hands with our new nanny who started today.
The girls are finally breastfeeding exclusively other than when I am at work and the one feeding that Ben takes at night. It is soooo much easier than dealing with bottles all the time, and there is not nearly as much screaming late at night since we don't have to wait for bottles to heat!
Everyone is healthy and happy. Lilly now weighs 7 pounds, 2 ounces, and Elzi is 6 pounds, 4 1/2 ounces. I can't believe how big they are getting. They are outgrowing most of their preemie clothes! Most people still think they look small, but I know where they started, and I am impressed.
I finally figured out how to link you to my pictures!!! ...
