Halloween, Seuss-style
Halloween may quite possibly be our family's new favorite holiday. We had a great weekend filled with parties and trick-or-treating.
Elzi was less than thrilled about the hairspray

Family Fest
Today we went to Family Fest at the American Tobacco Campus. Although we didn't stay long enough to see the Duck Race, we had a blast with the other activities. The girls bounced in the tiger bounce house, colored on the giant coloring wall, and pet some exotic animals from Noah's Landing.
Lillian is more interested in a piece of plastic than the crayons. Elzi is selecting her colors.
Elzi LOVES to color. She cried when we left the coloring wall.
Of course, Lillian thinks its a good idea to color the glass instead.
Lillian kept demanding, to no avail, that the keeper let the bunny "Out!"

Slides!
When she realized that I was taking her picture, Elzi made sure to "cheese."
After dinner tonight we went outside and continued the fun with our little backyard slide.
Climbing on the outside is fun too.
...as is climbing up the slide.
Weeeeee!

Time to Potty Train?
Our girls are still only saying a few words, most of which begin with D or B. Some of their favorites are dog, duck, Daddy, diaper, ball, beep, baby, up, apple, open (which sounds like apple), and water (which sounds like wow). They even learned the name Donald when our friends Donald and Amanda came to visit. Of course! It starts with a D! They have just recently (in the past week) started saying Mama with its true meaning. Needless to say, I am extremely elated with this new development!
This morning, Lillian and I had our first conversation. It went like this:
I was in the process of dressing Elzi, so she was standing in the living room in her diaper.
Lillian (pointing at Elzi's diaper): Diaper.
Mommy: Yes, Lillian that is Elzi's diaper. Are you girls ready to stop wearing diapers?
Lillian: MmmNo.
At least she's honest!

Water Fun and Tissue Mischief
We started our day today by going to the Mothers of Multiples play date at Forest Hills Park.
The girls had a great time playing in the water,
making music with the chimes,
and playing with sand.
Due to the fact that it was approximately 100 degrees today, after nap we just stayed inside and played. As I was checking my email, I noticed that the living room had grown a little too quiet. When I entered the room, this is what I saw...
My first reaction after seeing the tissues torn and strewn everywhere was to tell them to stop and take the box away. On second thought, I decided I'm going to have to clean it up anyway, so why not take a few pictures first. The girls had a blast continuing to shred tissues...
and they were proud to show me their handy work.
